It's an exciting and rare celestial event that we get to experience next Monday, April 8th with the solar eclipse passing by! Here in Maryland we are going to be seeing about 90% of a total eclipse. It starts around 2:05 PM and goes until about 4:33 PM. Click here for more details.

To watch the eclipse safely, you need to wear the proper eyewear throughout the entire eclipse. Don't look at the sun directly!

To help you find some solar-safe glasses for the eclipse, we've put together a list of places where you can find them for purchase or free, right here in Anne Arundel County.

Knock-offs are common, unfortunately, especially when bought online. To be sure your glasses are on a list of approved suppliers and manufacturers, and to ensure they are safe, click here for more info.

Enjoy making eclipse memories with your family and BE SAFE!

P.S. Here are the ones I bought from America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses in Pasadena.
