MacKid Review: Artsy Partsy Summer Camp

Summer is LONG this year!  Just when it feels like summer is 'almost' over-we still have more than a month left!  Lucas spent the first part of the summer in a cast from breaking is wrist on the second day of summer-and now that it's healed, he's ready to find some fun!  I was ambitious this summer-I had a HUGE list of things I wanted to do with him-and the 'monkey wrench' of the broken wrist just kind of knocked me off my game.  Now we're mid summer and believe it or not-I was scrambling to find things for him to do!

Lucky for him-Artsy Partsy still had a few openings in their camp and off he went last Tuesday to spend the day with Jeannette and her fabulous team!  We dropped him and a friend off at 9am and off they went into a fun-filled day of art themed activities.  He learned drawing, painting, and sculpting with clay.  He made sand art (which is one of his FAVORITE things-and one I hate to do at home).  But don't worry-they won't just sit at a desk and draw all day. The Artsy Partsy team is AMAZING at keeping the kids active.  From playing games, doing dances, and even heading outside into their 'courtyard' for even more fun. Check out this fun experiment they did with water balloons this week! Lucas and his buddy came home from camp with their arms full of goodies that they created on their own-and they are excited to be heading back to Artsy Partsy for camp this week too!
