This time of year can be so chaotic...parties, cookies, presents...the list goes on! Of course, lots of these things are wonderful, but there's definitely something to be said for taking a few minutes to yourself to relax.
With that in mind, I headed to Synergy Bodywork and Massage in Severna Park for an hour-long massage. Michele Linderborn is the owner and massage therapist. Before my appointment, I completed some quick and easy intake questions. The day of my appointment she greeted me at the entrance (it is a hidden gem located on Benfield Road!) and told me to have a look at the many aromatherapy options available for my massage. This was such a cool thing - there were SO many to pick from! Lemon, lavender, Rosemary...there's something for everyone. I went with the peppermint/lavender combo which smelled AMAZING.
My massage was so wonderful - Michele is super professional and knowledgeable. For me personally, I work out a decent amount so my muscles can tend to be extra tight. I left feeling SO much more relaxed and could 100 percent feel a difference in my muscle tightness from her work.
Michele focuses on relaxation, stress relief, pain management, sports injury & recovery, surgical scar tissue breakdown, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and therapeutic bodywork.
A musculoskeletal treatment might be any combination of the following: Deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, cupping therapy, muscle energy techniques, dry needling, posture and/or gait assessments, strengthening exercises, stretches.
