Nationwide, one of the positive things to come from the pandemic:  more little free libraries popping up at parks, schools, community buildings and front yards.  Our area here in Anne Arundel County was no exception.  It's a simple concept:  if you find a book that interests you, take it, and if you have books you no longer need, leave them.

If you do not see any little libraries while driving around town, you can check out the official nonprofit organization, Little Free Library, that maps and charters little free libraries around the country and world.  Currently there are more than 100,000 registered libraries in 108 countries, including dozens right here in Anne Arundel County.  It's a great resource when travelling too.  Just enter your zip code, and you'll find where they are the located, and there is even a little information on the family or organization who is sponsoring it.  Super easy!

One such registered little free library in our area is this one--Little Free Library - Pasadena MD, at corner of Woodlawn Avenue and 11th Street.  Get more information about it here:

With all the many little free libraries right here in our own backyard, there's sure to be the perfect book for you waiting to be picked up!

Happy summer reading, friends!
