What to do on a rainy day? Macaroni Kid Pasadena-Severna Park has you covered! As long as there is no thunder, lightning or extreme winds, rain can be super fun to play in! Strap on those rain boots, don your slicker and head on out for some good old-fashioned fun! Here are some fun ways to play in the rain:
- Make Mud Pies
- Go on a Puddle Hunt and see how many you can jump into!
- Catch raindrops in your mouth
- Take water toys out and play in puddles
- Rescue worms-rain brings out those worms! Build a worm house and collect them
- Collect rain in a bucket and measure it each hour and track the rainfall
- Have a water battle with water balloons and water guns
- Use pots, pans, bowls, boxes and cups upside down and listen to the music the rain makes on them
- Create rain art by coloring a picture with washable markers and setting it out in the rain
If the rain becomes too much, check out these great local indoor spots in Anne Arundel County and get out and play. Grab yourself some coffee, and wear them out. These spots are either open indoor areas where you are free to come and go as you please or locations with Open Gym times or drop in sessions available (check their websites or call ahead to get the schedule).
