Whip Up an Awesome Valentine's Gift at Annapolis Home Brew

Sponsored Review

I'm always at a loss for what to give my husband for the holidays and his birthday. Gifts are not his love language-but giving and receiving gifts are definitely mine.  Rob would rather do something fun together than receiving a trinket.

I found a super cool solution for that this year at Annapolis Home Brew!  A few weeks ago, we headed over to Severna Park for Annapolis Home Brew's Whip Up a Wine Class. Along with our good friends, we selected our wine type (and there are a LOT of selections to choose from) and got started.  While there, we were able to sample a few of AHB's own creations, which made the night fun as well.

We donned our Annapolis Home Brew aprons, and Steve taught us the chemistry and history of winemaking while we enjoyed the hands-on experience for ourselves.  We poured the juice, added the oak and yeast, and mixed it all together.

Check out our fun here:

In about six weeks, we'll return to Annapolis Home Brew for Bottling Day!  We'll choose our wine bottle collars (the foil wraps for the top of the bottle) from their wide variety of colors, create our custom labels and fill our bottles with our very own wine!  We'll take home about 30 bottles of wine at the end of the night.

This class costs $225 (prices vary for other classes) and is for up to four people to attend!  They also offer Build a Beer and Create a Cider programs (and I hear hard seltzer might be coming soon!). If you'd like to purchase as a gift, stop by the shop and they'll give you a great gift box with a bottle and gift certificate to go with it. It would be a great date night, girls/guys night out, team building event, and more!

Interested in brewing or winemaking on your own? There's no better spot in Anne Arundel County than Annapolis Home Brew for Supplies.  With more than 5,000 square feet of space, their shop has a temperature-controlled room full of grains that you can create your own blend to have ground for beer, many flavor options for wine, cider, root beer, and even kombucha!  Their team is knowledgable about what works, what works best, and how to get started (I think there might be some winemaking in our future).  I met some customers during my visit and it's clear that the team at Annapolis Home Brew is more than just a local shop.  They've developed friendships with their customers and have created an awesome Home Brew community out of their store.  I was fascinated by hearing the stories of customers and can't wait to give this a try on our own!

Stay tuned to see what our bottling night looks like in a few weeks! I can't wait to taste our very own wine.

Go grab a gift from Annapolis Home Brew for Valentine's Day.  Be sure to tell them MacKid sent you and receive an exclusive deal: $5 off $50 purchase and $10 off $100!

I was provided with products/service in exchange for this review, but all of my opinions are my own.
