Father's Day is June 20--Ideas to Help Celebrate Your Favorite Guy

By Laura McElwain Colquhoun, Publisher, Macaroni Kid Pasadena-Severna Park-Glen Burnie June 12, 2021

Happy Friday, Macaroni Friends!

I hope you have been enjoying these long summer days!  My mood is always uplifted with the early morning sunrises and late sunsets.

Thinking ahead to NEXT weekend, we've got some great ideas for Father's Day.  To help you plan, we've included them in this week's newsletter.  There are lots of awesome events and activities with Dad right here in our own backyard--no need to travel far and wide for fun!  The article lists them, but all events are also on the MacKid calendar.  Whatever Dad enjoys, we're sure you'll find something he'll love!

Another article in this newsletter has a link to a cute activity your kids can do with Dad, and hopefully will be a keepsake for him too!  A play on the Mad Libs game, "DadLibs" is a printable sheet where kids answer fill-in-the-blank questions about their dad, and it creates a story.  Find it HERE

Last, but not least, there are also a lot of exciting events happening in our area THIS weekend.  Here's the link to the calendar.  Some of the highlights include the Children's Theatre of Annapolis' production of Frozen, a license-free fishing day on Saturday (it's the second one--and there's only one more on July 4th), the Shop Local Festival at Lakeshore Plaza in Pasadena on Saturday, a rodeo at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds on Saturday and a lavender festival at Hancock's Resolution on Sunday afternoon.

Have the best weekend #Finding Your Family Fun!

All my best,

Laura
