I had a fantastic experience with my Hungry Harvest box of produce and marketplace items and am excited to let you know all about my wins!
Not much makes me happier than when I can say a situation is a win-win, or even better, multiple wins. And with Hungry Harvest produce delivery, there were MANY wins. Hungry Harvest delivers sustainable feel-good, do-good grocery that's good for you and the planet.

Convenience
First of all, I LOVE food delivery. I've been getting grocery deliveries long before the pandemic when everyone started it too. I love the convenience of doorstep deliveries and not going to grocery stores, not to mention eliminating the stress of taking a child to the store who wants something in every aisle.
Hungry Harvest delivers weekly or bi-weekly, and you can skip a delivery any time. There are no delivery commitments. Basically, you choose how often you'd like your boxes delivered. It's centered around you!
And an added bonus: it was raining heavily the day of my first delivery, but the box was thick enough that none of my items were wet.
Fresh Produce

Hungry Harvest delivers a box of fresh produce, but you have many options to choose from, such as the size of the box and whether or not you'd like organic produce. The caveat is you do not know exactly what fruits and vegetables you will receive because deliveries are based on overages and what needs to be consumed. However, you are able to to specify what fruits and vegetables you do not want to receive ever, and on the flip side, you can state which are your favorites.
Don't get me wrong, though, the produce is definitely not "leftover" quality. These were some of the highest quality produce I've ever received! My uber picky eater son loved the apples and has asked for an apple almost every day since we received the box. Talk about a WIN! I think Hungry Harvest just set the gold standard for apples in the eyes of my son. He scarfed up the Asian pears too.
Plentiful Amounts
This box was chock full of food! We got at least a week's worth of meals out of our shipment, supplemented with meats and other ingredients I had on hand.
My Hungry Harvest Meals
One of the meals I tried with our produce used zucchini. I have to admit zucchini is rarely on my shopping list, but I was thrilled to take the opportunity to make a meal my mom used to make regularly when I was growing up. It's called "Sassy Zucchini" and was just as delicious as I remembered! I also used the green peppers from my delivery.
Marketplace Items
In addition to the fresh produce items, there is also a marketplace of high quality packaged food and drinks to help make meals with the fruits and vegetables.
Two of the marketplace items I chose were gluten-free ciabatta rolls and kombucha. I toasted and buttered the ciabatta rolls to go with the zucchini meal I made. And a cool bonus about the kombucha – it is local from Baltimore.
Reasonable Prices
Y'all – my huge box of items was just over $51. And all the produce in my box was ORGANIC. Box options start at just $15 and are available in a variety of sizes and options, including organic, like I chose.
Great Customer Service
If you're like me, my favorite way to get in touch with customer service at any company is through online chat. When I had questions about my delivery and payment issues, the customer service chat was available, and the agent was very responsive. It's super easy to find the chat function on any page of the site. In addition, an agent responded the next morning to an after-hours question I sent through chat.
I also received ample reminders of when my shipment was happening and when the deadlines were to add or change items to the delivery.
Helping the Community and Environment
Every delivery helps build a healthier future for the planet by fighting food waste and conserving all the precious resources used to grow that food. Hungry Harvest rescues farm fresh fruits and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste. Every delivery saves at least 10 pounds of food from going to waste, thereby reducing environmental footprints.
They also participate in providing low-cost food to SNAP-eligible markets and contribute to hunger relief organizations.
