A local Pasadena student, 12 year-old, Emersyn Swader, is raising money for cancer research.
Emersyn is an ice hockey goalie and is raising money for a non-profit organization called October Saves. It is an annual fundraiser Emersyn participates in, and, over the past 3 years, Emersyn has raised over $5,000.
Emersyn chose to participate in the fundraiser in honor of her grandfather who is a cancer survivor, and is doing well after surgery and chemotherapy.
