If you're planning or even thinking of a vacation to Orlando, this is for you! There is a gem that you need to know about that is near all the magic that is Orlando. Along with other Macaroni KID publishers from around the country, I recently had the pleasure to visit the beautiful Meliá Orlando Celebration Hotel and am excited to share my top 10 things to love about it. It's not your typical hotel experience.

Meliá Orlando Celebration has everything you'll love about an Orlando vacation: clean and spacious rooms with full size kitchens, attractive pool area, outdoor family games, amazing hospitality, top notch food, ideally located close to Disney and other parks, easy to get to and from the airport, and much more.

1. Large Spacious Rooms
Each room is really a suite and you can choose 1 or 2 bedrooms. In addition to the 1-2 beds in each room, there is a living room with a pull-out couch. A standard room at Meliá Orlando sleeps 6. Some even larger rooms with 2 bathrooms are available.
You don't need to eat out every meal while on vacation here. Each suite has a full size kitchen with a stove, dishwasher, and full size refrigerator. Dishes, pots, and pans are provided as well.

2. Gracious Hospitality
I felt more than a valued guest: all staff made me feel this was my home away from home. From the moment I arrived, staff were gracious, welcoming, and helpful. Everyone I met made a point to make a personal connection with me and remember my name. They anticipated my needs and always wanted to know how my experience was.
Meliá is a European brand, and staff reflected the wonderful hospitality European hotels are known for.
3. Cleanliness Is A Priority
I am a self-admitted germaphobe, and I loved the priority Meliá Orlando has on cleanliness and sanitation. All public areas and the rooms were impeccably clean. Unlike a lot of hotels these days, staff cleaned the room both in the mornings and at night during turn down service.
And the best part in my book: Meliá Orlando uses a large robotic UV machine to sanitize rooms after each guest leaves. The machine disinfects all surfaces throughout the rooms. Meliá Orlando is proud to be the only hotel in the Orlando area to use one of these machines, and it certainly made me feel even more comfortable.
4. Dogs Are Loved
They are truly welcoming to EVERYONE in the family, including your fur babies! There is a sizeable dog park on the property and even a special menu at their restaurant just for dogs.

5. Beautiful Pool Area
The pool is perfect for both relaxation and fun. Surrounded by beautiful landscaping and palm trees, the 360 degree heated infinity pool is open year round. Kids and big kids at heart can enjoy basketball, big beach balls and other pool games. A hot tub is situated right in the middle of the pool.
6. Outdoor Games
Nothing says family time like playing games together, and Meliá Orlando has you covered. In the pool area you'll find a ping pong table, air soccer, a giant Connect Four, and mini golf putting greens. In another part of the property, you can avail yourself to sand volleyball and a soccer field.

7. A Foodie's Paradise
Calories don't count on vacation, right? If you're like me, one of the best parts of travel is eating! Meliá Orlando's onsite restaurant, The Wilson, has the most creative, delicious, and expertly-prepared fare.
True to their European roots, The Wilson's menu features globally inspired dishes. There is something for every palate at every meal. The hardest part was choosing from their amazing selections!
Additionally, continental breakfast is included with your stay. And bonus: a big Starbucks machine is located in the lobby of the hotel, available 24/7 with a nice array of Starbucks drinks available for purchase.

8. Emphasis on Health & Wellness
How awesome is this? At Meliá Orlando you can have your own personal gym. There are some suites that have attached rooms with your own cardio machines and weight equipment.
At Meliá Orlando you can even book your own wellness room, which features a Vitamin-C infused shower, a sunrise simulator, an air purification system, Egyptian cotton sheets and more. Your well-being and comfort is important at Meliá.
9. Onsite Entertainment
Meliá Orlando staff know how to have fun and make your stay memorable! Staff frequently plan family events and activities in and around the pool area.
While we were there, Captain America stopped by for a visit, which he often does. He entertained us and interacted with every child he saw.
In the evening Meliá Orlando hosted an 80s-themed glow party with a live band. They even provided guests with all the proper glowing accoutrements. It was free and included with the stay.

10. Free Shuttle Service
Relax and let them do the driving! They offer free shuttles throughout the day to and from the Disney and Universal parks.
