Our area is fortunate to have a renowed theatre for children, Children’s Theatre of Annapolis (CTA), and this weekend Matilda the Musical premiers.

Based on the book by Roald Dahl, the musical brings to life the story of Matilda, a precocious girl who has a wild imagination and dreams of a better life. Matilda features 26 local performers aged 9 to 17 years old.
“Matilda the Musical, the first production of our 2022-2023 ‘Season of Stories,’ brings some of children’s literature’s most beloved characters to life,” said Kelsey Casselbury of CTA . “It’s a story that audiences of all ages will enjoy, as well as a perfect introduction to live theatre for children.”
Matilda the Musical opens on Friday, October 28, 2022, and runs through Sunday, November 6.
Performances are at CTA’s theatre, located at 1661 Bay Head Road, Annapolis. Showtimes are 7:00 PM on Fridays, 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Saturdays, and 2:00 PM on Sundays.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students age 12 and under, seniors and active military. Group discounts and season subscriptions are also available. Purchase tickets HERE.
