My family and I received a discounted reverse osmosis system from  Atlantic Blue, in exchange for this article. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.

I was introduced to Atlantic Blue last fall at a community event. They were very new to Severna Park and were giving samples of their reverse osmosis water. My husband first tasted it, came over to me and said enthusiastically, "You've got to try this water!" Because of his excited tone of voice, my first thought was someone had shipped in water directly from a mountain spring.

I went right over to get a sample myself, and confirmed from the first taste how different reverse osmosis was: it was light, refreshing and tasted great. I loved knowing how easily WE could get that same high quality water ourselves.

What is Reverse Osmosis?

From Atlantic Blue Water Systems: Water pressure is used to force water molecules through a very fine membrane leaving the contaminants behind. Purified water is collected from the “clean” or “permeate” side of the membrane, and water containing the concentrated contaminants is flushed down the drain from the “contaminated” or “concentrate” side.

The average reverse osmosis system is a unit consisting of a sediment/chlorine pre filter, the reverse-osmosis membrane, a storage tank, and an activated-carbon post filter.

Atlantic Blue's system uses a 4-stage system with highly effective filters that reduces unwanted impurities from your water.

Why my family and I love our reverse osmosis system from Atlantic Blue

1) Peace of mind. It's a relief knowing we're drinking clean, high quality water and that chemicals, including fluoride and forever chemicals, are not in our drinking water. Only reverse osmosis systems can keep out flouride and forever chemicals from our drinking water.

2) The water tastes fantastic! I didn't realize water could taste so light and good. Already I'm drinking more water without even thinking about it.

3) Water from the special tap comes out fast and is slightly cool - a perfect temperature for drinking.

4) We no longer need pitchers that use disposable filters and don't keep out all chemicals anyway.

5) Maintenance is a breeze. There are no special instructions. Once it's installed we don't have to think any more about it! Atlantic Blue will come out annually to check on the system and do any maintenance if necessary.

How the process works

Everything was super easy, quick, and straightforward!

Our tech, Keith, came to our house and conducted a water analysis test. Our tap water was tested for softness, and pH, salt, lead, chlorine, and other contaminant levels. Results were immediate and Keith knew exactly what type of system would work best with our drinking water. There was also an option to install a house-wide water treatment system not just for drinking water.

After Keith came to our home, we scheduled an installation date. It only took an hour to install the system under our kitchen sink. A special reverse osmosis faucet was installed next to our main faucet.
